Breezy Talks About Turning Your Art Into A Presentable Package at the 2017 Liberty Music Fest

The Liberty Musicfest started in 2011 based around the concept of original music showcases, educational music business panels, vendors, networking and workshops. The brain child of Music Industry Veterans Jim Thorpe & Vince Volz who have been instrumental in the music scene for years.

This year’s festival is the largest yet and has been organized by DVT Entertainment . Bringing together musicians, fans and industry professionals for one incredible weekend filled with entertaining & informative events. The festival seeks to introduce music enthusiasts to up-and-coming local, on the cusp regional and national artists as well as provide tips and tricks to attendees on industry topics such as publishing, touring, and social media. Some of this weekend’s most anticipated industry panels to catch are Booking/Touring, Building Your Brand, Producers: Creating your song, Publishing & Licensing: get your Music In A Movie, Game or Commercial, and Social Media: Navigating and Optimizing Your Presence and many one on one sessions with music industry professionals and artists.

This year, The 6th Annual Liberty Musicfest took place Aug 16th thru 20th at The Grape Room (Grape St Pub) and also Broken Goblet Brewery in Manayunk.

There were 100+ artist performances as well as industry panels to help artists take their career to new heights.

I was lucky to be asked to join in on the Marketing and Branding panel alongside Jim Thorpe and Ron Bauman - Milk Street Marketing / Connie's Ric Rac. We discussed the many ways to turn your art into a presentable package as well as answered questions from artists and bands in attendance.

I hope to do it again next year!

AN ARTIST’S BEST FRIEND: BRIANNA DEMAYO AKA BREEZY B

This has to be my favorite press piece ever written about me and I can't thank New Music Revolution enough for this pleasant surprise.

With a team of writers and a solid ear for incredible music, she really is pushing the culture forward with every tweet, every post, every idea put into action.

Exerpt from the article:

As an artist one of the biggest obstacles you will face while trying to get “put on” will be finding solid, authentic individuals that can help your music and your brand reach the ears and eyes of new listeners that can potentially become supporters of your work and consumers of your merchandise. While many artists really think there’s just people lining up around the block to do all the work to help them in advancing their careers, once you’ve spent ample time (We’re talking at least 2-3 years or more these days), you’ll come to realize that it doesn’t necessarily work that way. Unless you have a cousin who knows an Atlantic or Def Jam exec, there’s hoops you have to jump through and hurdles you’ll have to jump over just even invited to knock on the door of the industry. And even then, don’t even expect to get let in after knocking. That’s why you have to utilize the resources around you to build on your own. Especially in today’s oversaturated online market. Its for that reason, the universe has blessed artists with people like Brianna DeMayo aka Breezy B.
